Description:
The Decoration
The welcome area and the dining room where decorated with a very special attention for aesthetic elements, like bamboo trunks, kakemono’s and white pebble stones.
All the materials (curtains, carpet, napkins, chairs) where chosen in the Daikin’s corporate colours (white, blue and black).
The finishing touch were the rows of rice fields, replacing the traditional flowers as table decoration.

The Show
We created a show with surprising European acts. Lots of aerial circus acts, and a finale consisting of dancers and trampoline acrobats, illustrating both concepts of ‘teamwork’ and the ‘quantum leap’.
The show was performed on a stage set inspired by a few Japanese Icons :
Partitions - These formed the stage background. Thanks to it’s semi transparent texture, we could use it to perform nice shadow effects.
The fan - This large décor element, installed in front of the stage was used to open and close the stage in between several parts of the show. This icon had a strong symbolic meaning, since one can say that the fan is men’s most primitive form of air conditioning.
The kite - We found out that Japan has a tradition of building giant kites. Some kites are so huge, that the efforts of all the inhabitants of the village are needed to pull it into the air. The corporate theme being “team up for the quantum leap”, we closed the academic session by inviting 30 special guests (government, board of management, clients) in front of the stage to grab some thick ropes and to pull together, making a giant kite to appear.
